Bolu Abant İzzet Baysal University, Translation and Interpreting Department is organizing the International Congress on Academic Studies in Translation and Interpreting Studies (ICASTIS) on 29 September – 1 October 2022. The congress focuses on original and innovative academic studies on translation and interpreting. The aim of the congress is to provide a setting for scholars from different contexts of Translation Studies to share their ideas and experience on theoretical and practical issues of translation or interpreting, to be enriched with the studies on the interdisciplinary nature of this field of science.

About Bolu

Bolu is a cozy city in northwestern part of Türkiye. It is located between the two metropolitan cities: Istanbul (260 kms – 3 hours by bus) and Ankara (190 kms – 2 hours by bus). Its current population is approximately 250,000 in the city center.
